* Why is That We Often Repeat Mistakes In Life Instead of Learning From Them?

That is a question that baffles many of us on a regular basis.  It becomes even more baffling when you look at all of the possibilities for growth if we do change and our unnecessary stubbornness in relenting.

Well, I think it’s because we don’t have faith in the possibilities.  

Faith gets a bad rap because most equate it with religion, and let’s face it religion is not on the best side of opinions these days given problems in the Catholic church and terrorist acts from religious extremists.  

Sure, religion is where the concept of faith got started; faith in God is a good thing because it gives you hope for a life after this one, and that we aren’t alone in this grand, mysterious adventure. Without faith in a good outcome, it’s left up to fate.  Mr. Webster describes fate in his dictionary as: “an inevitable and often adverse outcome”.  That’s a positive outlook!  At least faith is uplifting, positive and gives you energy to look forward to taking control where you can and work with God.

I believe we do have some control over our lives because we have control over our choices.  Given that smidgen of control, we can have faith in ourselves to do the right thing, if we choose correctly.  Choosing to have faith in oneself and God leads to success and a strange thing happens, we suddenly have faith in more things happening the way we want them to.

Now, does this magical transformation have anything to do with our attitude?  You betcha!  Once we see that we can control our choices for our betterment, our attitude improves, our success ratio improves, and suddenly we have faith in our abilities to move mountains.

All of this brings us back to having faith in the possibilities of life in general.  If you only see the dark and pessimistic you will live a life of darkness and pessimistic circumstances.  If you have faith that life is filled with wonderful opportunities and only you have the personal key to open the door behind which they lay, you will see opportunities blooming everywhere.

It really all is in your head.  If you want to do something and you have faith that you can, you probably will.  The Law of Attraction states, “like attracts like”.  If you are happy you will attract happiness, if you are sad you will attract sadness.  Perception is key.  Perception exists in your head, in your thinking and in your actions.

Give life a chance by deliberately thinking, with faith, in the existence of infinite possibilities.  We are here such a short time, isn’t it a waste of your precious time to do otherwise?  Take control of your decisions, your choices and your attitude with faith in you and God that you will do your best and ultimately succeed at whatever venture you embark on.

If you give this a try, I will guarantee you one thing.  Life will be more interesting.  And in the end, isn’t that what we all want; a life that is fun, fascinating, challenging, rewarding, and filled with happiness?  

You won’t be making the same mistakes over and over any more either; you will be breaking new ground on the landscape of your life.

Go ahead, I double-dog-dare-you, experiment with faith, see what happens and let me know.
